Position Title Instructional Faculty, Nursing (ASN/BSN)
Job Description

Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:

1. Teaches undergraduate lower and upper division level courses within the Nursing program.

2. Inspires student motivation, learning and achievement.

3. Supports student success in the Nursing program.

4. Embraces innovation and actively participates in analyzing, designing, and improving the nursing curriculum.

5. Maintains appropriate professional relationships with local, State and national governmental and professional associations and agencies.

6. Establishes positive working relationships with local healthcare industry.

7. Maintains nursing education accreditation standards and assists with the accreditation process.

8. Develops and effectively delivers courses—in classroom and online.

9. Models scholarship through inquiry and presentations/publications.

10. Promotes the Nursing programs and represents the College in the community, providing professional community service.

11. Serves the department and SCF on various committees and task forces to support and advance overall quality of programs.

12. Works flexible hours to meet the needs of the program.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in Nursing required and must have an active, unrestricted Florida RN license.

• Certificates and Licenses:
Active, unrestricted Florida RN license required, advanced practice preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred: Doctoral candidate expected to complete the degree within one year of hire, or a doctoral degree in nursing (DNP, PhD).

Recent clinical advanced practice nursing experience preferred.
