SCF is seeking Adjunct Faculty for various disciplines within Natural Science for the Fall 2016 semester. We are currently looking for adjuncts for mathematics, biology-human body, earth and space studies, environmental studies, physics, and oceanography.

Job Description

The department is looking to build a pool of adjunct instructors for fall courses on the Venice campus. This includes day and evening sections.

Minimum Qualifications

For the Math positions: 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics, statistics, applied science or related discipline courses in the teaching or application of algebra, degree or a master’s degree with a major in calculus or finite mathematics + master’s mathematics or statistics.

For the Biology Positions: 18 graduate semester hours in biology, botany, zoology or related biological science subfield + master’s degree
or
a master’s degree with a major in biology, botany, zoology or a related biological science subfield
or
a doctoral degree with a major in biology, botany, zoology or a related biological science subfield
or
a doctor of chiropractic medicine, dental science, dental medicine, veterinary medicine, or medicine

For the Oceanography position: 18 graduate semester hours in oceanography, marine biology, biology, or related field + masters degree
or
a master’s degree with a major in oceanography, marine biology or related field
or
a doctoral degree in oceanography, marine biology or related field.

For Earth-Space and Environmental position: 18 graduate credit hours in any combination of Astronomy, Earth Science. Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography and Physical Geography

For Physics: 18 graduate semester hours in physics + master’s degree
or
a master’s degree with a major in physics
or
a doctoral degree with a major in physics.
